After three years without a summer party due to the Corona Virus, the day finally came and it was time to shut down our laptops and get on board the coach! We left our office in Tumblingerstraße and stopped for a guided tour of the Dinzler coffee roasting company on the Irschenberg.

We appreciate good coffee in our office and we have the “best cappuccino north of the Alps” – at least that’s what we think! ? We were very excited about the guided tour and tasting at the Dinzler coffee roasting company, which is known for its high quality standards and premium coffee. We listened to the head of the Dinzler coffee academy with interest and gained great insights into the world of coffee – from harvesting to the different types of roasting and finally the correct preparation and pouring. Once we were strengthened by sweet chocolates, espresso tarts and, of course, a cup of delicious coffee, our journey then continued towards Schliersee.
Meeting point: Schliersbergalm at Schliersee
Upon arrival at the Schliersee train station, we headed to the Schliersberg cable car. Some of our colleagues jumped aboard whilst others continued their way up by foot. With the ever-changing views of the beautiful turquoise-blue Schliersee, the elevation up to the Schliersbergalm didn’t seem long at all! Our two colleagues from Great Britain loved the fresh mountain air and were amazed by the stunning views to the lake and mountains beyond.
Once we finally arrived at the top we were greeted by cold Weißbier and Aperol Spritz’s which quenched the thirsts from the mountain climb! A decorated tent awaited us with a large barbecue buffet which left nothing to be desired. Delicious food, sweet treats and refreshing drinks were enjoyed by all. We had plenty of time to chat, laugh and exchange ideas with colleagues from other teams whether it be at the dining table, on the comfortable sun chairs or while jumping on the trampoline! Everyone relaxed, had fun and very much enjoyed this beautiful day together.
But who goes up, has to come down – either on foot, by cable car or by the summer toboggan run! Most of us opted for the summer toboggan run, so the team whizzed back down into the valley with their hair blowing. What a fun end to a lovely day!
The coach arrived back at the office in the evening with everyone feeling refreshed and happy and we all agreed, even those that took a few scrapes from the toboggan run, that this was a perfect short vacation in the mountains!
We all had a great day and are already looking forward to our summer party next year!
